Karen's birthday present
I just had my fifty-first birthday, and I got a camcorder!!! So, I got busy and took a video of me, Ted, and Aria walking in Whatcom Falls Park. The trail to the park starts two blocks from our house, and we are so lucky to be able to walk (or ski, weather permitting) in this beautiful park several days each week. Video taken December 31, 2008.

Happy Birthday Karen, The Park Is beautiful,Aria you really like the ducks, I thought for a minute I heard you say duck. You are a lucky little girl to live so close to something so beautiful. Love you Great Granny.
What a magnificent park! That is one lucky little girl! Her first word is going to be "duck!"
Videocams are great, you're going to have a lot of fun with it!
I do think she said "duck" when we were in the park. A lot of times I say words to Aria and she says them back to me if she knows how to say the sounds. she's spent a lot of time saying "da-da-da" so duck comes easy to her.
