Aria Performs in the Children's Christmas Pageant

When it was announced that there would be a children's Christmas pageant at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship (BUF) and that children could either act or sing or do both Aria said she wanted to do both. She has been practicing for several weeks and was assigned a solo singing part (actually two children sang together) and the role of "Stable Girl" in the performance. There were practices after the church services the past several weeks and Aria practiced singing at home and in the car. Now that Karen has the sewing machine warmed up after making a Halloween witch costume she whipped up a beautiful stable girl dress. The following video is of the whole 30 minute long children's Christmas pageant, Entitled "Would you Like to Hold the Baby," which was performed as part of the church service on December 22. Most of the photos below the video were taken at the dress rehearsal just before the church service.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree on December 9th this year and enjoyed putting it up and decorating it. Aria had a great time decorating it and it was so much fun doing it with her. It's a beautiful tree and it's been great having it. Video taken December 9 and 10, 2013.

Aria visits Santa and Mrs. Claus AND some Thanksgiving fun

Just last week Santa and Mrs. Claus made a little trip to the Northwest Indian College Christmas dinner and Aria got to say hi to them. Here's a photo just to show that we really did get to see them before they headed back to the North Pole to get ready for Christmas.

The Three of us went to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving and had a great time with Aunt Lisa (Karen's sister) and Uncle Rich. Here are some photos from the trip.

Lisa and Rich recently bought this house so it has very little furniture in it
so we had to improvise for our Thanksgiving table. It worked out just fine.

And lastly, just another photo for the fun of it. Aria has gotten quite proficient at building tall towers using duplo blocks. Here is one of her creations with the master builder.
