Aria goes Snorkeling

Aria practiced snorkeling with the mask and snorkel several months ago in our hot tub but she has learned to snorkel really well while also using the fins in the pool when she visited her Oma and Opa (Ted's parents) in Arizona. Aria figured out how to use the fins with the mask and snorkel in a matter of minutes.

Aria's New Book

Aria has been writing quite a few books lately. Last Saturday she wrote a new one with a hard cover made from a recycle pizza box. She first drew the pictures for each page and then told me what words to write to go with the picture. Hold onto your chairs as the exciting story unfolds. Enjoy. Aria the Halloween Ghost

Aria was a ghost for Halloween this year and scared all of the neighbors. It was a rainy Halloween night but that didn't dampen Aria's enthusiasm. She went further in her travels than last year and got a good load of yummy treats.  I suggest that you view the video in full screen mode since it is pretty dark.

Preparing for Halloween

Aria is SO EXCITED about Halloween this year. After swimming for pumpkins last week she painted some little pumpkins. Here is the artist at work.

Pumpkins, Pools and the Little People's House

Aria has been waiting for weeks for the annual Pumpkin in the Pool event at our local aquatic center. The day finally came and Aria and Dad got to go to the pool Saturday to swim with pumpkins and Aria was so excited. She picked out two great pumpkins that we will carve for Halloween. Then, on Sunday morining, she built a house in her bedroom for her little people and you get to hear and see their adventures.

Aria's New Story Paper

Aria brought home a really cool story paper that she made at school. It has a drawing that she made of her friends Audrey, Shiloh with Aria (from left to right in the drawing). Next comes the tree and a robot. Aria made up a story to go with the drawing.

Aria asked Audrey what colors she wanted for her shirt and dress. She just told me that she made the robot in flesh color.

Aria does a Gymnastics Routine

Aria's gymnastics class finished the spring with all of the children dong a gymnastics routine for their families to enjoy. Here is Aria doing her routine and then the children in her class showing that they are all stars. Video taken May 31, 2012.

The Master Artist Describes Her Work

Aria Bakes Sippy Cupcakes

Aria received her first cookbook for Easter, and this series of photos documents her first creation from it.  She calls them "sippy cupcakes".  They sport a decorative straw that makes them look like a bubbly cup of pink soda.  Photos taken April 16, 2012.

Aria's fun in the Snow - Thanksgiving 2011

We spent Thanksgiving week at Aunt Lisa (Karen's sister) and Uncle Rich's house in Salt Lake City, Utah. We went up into the nearby mountains a couple of times to go sledding during the visit and Aria had a blast. At first she rode the sled with each of us and then she learned to ride the sled alone.
