We are Aria's parents, Karen and Ted. We've created this blog to keep a diary of the beginning of Aria's life. We would love for you to comment on our posts. Our plan is to save this blog and share it with Aria as she grows up.
Aria now has 11 children! Fish children, that is. She has four white cloud mountain minnows, two guppies, and just today, she got five cardinal tetras.
She got a 29 gallon aquarium for her seventh birthday after asking for fish as her own pets. We went through the start-up period in which we introduced a hardy variety of fish, the white could mount minnow, to the aquarium until the water chemistry was just right to add more sensitive fish species. The first new fish were two guppies that Aria named Yellow Swoosh and Orange Tail. After they got settled in we went back to the store and got another group of fish - the cardinal tetra. You'll get to hear Aria go through the naming process for her new fish in the video below.
